In the Tanach there is, among others, an invitation from the Eternal One to come and, using our thinking ability, to reason with Him about facts, that is, the real facts, not figments of man’s imagination, facts that are the fulfillment of His Word and the result of His sovereign conducting of human events, so that we can conclude about the nature of His character and of His promises: Is He truly Elohey Amen, El emet, the God of truth or not?

He challenges us to analyze His character providing us with enough information, His Word, which is both prophetic: predictive history, reported beforehand, and historical: the report of the fulfillment, real and effective, history, of what was announced since the beginning.

His exhortation, to all who care to listen to Him, is:

Remember the former things of old: for I am God (El), and there is none else; I am El, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure” (Ieshaiahu 46.9,10).

Through prophet Micha, the Eternal One says:

“My people… I brought you up out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of servants; and I sent before you Moses, Aaron, and Miriam. O My people, remember now what Balak king of Moab consulted, and what Balaam the son of Beor answered him from Shittim unto Gilgal; that you may know the righteousness of YHVH” (Micah 6.4,5).

Based on this data, namely, His Word pronounced beforehand and its precise historical fulfillment, we are urged to make a choice, which is vital, a requirement that king David submitted himself to, expressing it on the Psalm 139 when, considering Who the Eternal One is, testified of His full and deep knowledge of every human being, as well as of His sovereignty, and concluded:

Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain unto it” (v. 6).

So, what are the choices:

Run away from Him? – “Whither shall I go from Your Spirit – MeRuchekha? or whither shall I flee from Your Presence – MiPaneikha?” (v. 7), which is impossible!

Run to Him – “Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the Way everlasting (vv. 23,24), which is wise and completely safe!

The Eternal One desires to have fellowship with us, as shown in this invitation:

Come now, and let us reason together, says YHVH: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Ieshaiahu 1:18).

He invites us to go to Him: “Come now, and let us reason together”.

He promises cleansing:though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool”.

He gives us His guarantee, provision of His love: “For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for the blood, it is it that makes atonement for the soul” (Vaicra 17:11)

This is a wonderful promise – to become as white as snow, as wool, because of the guarantee – the blood provided, by Him, over the altar, the blood that accomplishes kippur.

This promise, His good news, could only occur and be guaranteed by the God of Israel, Wonderful/!פֶּלֶא

And the irrecusable invitation is: to come, to reason and to become pure!

Thus, accepting this precious call from the Eternal One, I invite you to come, together with me, to Him and to reason with Him, under His guidance, with the goal of knowing the Holy and Loving God and His Eternal Plan to reach us, bring us close to Him in order for us to enjoy His fellowship, having as our foundation His Holy and Eternal Word, that shall not pass away.
