HaBIRCAT AVRAHAM: JHVH Tzidkenu – יהוה צִדְקֵנוּ

“Behold, the days come, says JHVH, that I will raise unto David a Righteous Shoot/Tzemach Tzadik (צֶמַח צַדִּיק)… and this is His Name whereby He shall be called, JHVH Our Righteousness – JHVH Tzidkenu.” Irmiahu 23:5,6

The Eternal One made a promise, to king David, of the coming of the Righteous Shoot, Tzemach Tzadik, the Eternal our Justice, because of our extreme need, for there is a sentence upon the human race: “The soul that sins, it shall die” (Iechezqel 18:4,20).

Since “there is no man that sins not” (Melachim Álef 8:46), all, without distinction, are under the penalty of death.

The Eternal One, however, since Gan Eden, revealed the provision of the perfect substitutive sacrifice and, in the Torah detailed it marvelously to Israel: “For the soul of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls: for the blood, it is it that makes atonement for the soul” (Viacra 17: 11).

In Mount Chorev, the Eternal gave the Torah and the fulfillment of the Torah!

At the same time when the Eternal One gave the Stone Tablets and the Torah and the mitzvah (Shemot 24:12), He said to Moses: “let them make Me a Sanctuary; that I may dwell among them” (Shemot 25:8), the Tabernacle – HaMishcan, the place of His Dwelling, making it clear that this was the only place where the blood could be shed and accepted by the Living God (Vaicra 17:1-11). Thus, the sin was covered and the sinner forgiven.

Later, the king David gave the blueprint of the Temple, built on the Mount Moriah in Jerusalem, the only Place in the whole earth where would be the altar upon which the blood, that makes atonement, could be shed! He also determined: “you shall give soul for soul” (Shemot 21:23), and declared: “I, even I, am JHVH; and beside Me there is no saviour” (Ieshaiahu 43:11). So, the Savior, only the Eternal One and no one else, the Goel, in order to rescue the sinner from the death sentence, would have to take his/her place, that is, to suffer the punishment in his/her place, giving His life as an offering for sin.

So, the Eternal One, Tzemach Tzadik, made Himself Man from David’s lineage, as He declared to him: “I will raise up your seed after you, Who shall be of your sons (Natan and Shlomoh); and I will establish His kingdom” (Divrê Haiamim Álef 17:11) Soul of Man for the souls of men, the Righteous for the unrighteous, according to what testifies the Tanach, to be pierced and killed as a vicarious offering:

“Thus says JHVH, Who stretched out the heavens, and laid the foundation of the earth, and formed the spirit of man within him… They shall look unto Me (וְהִבִּיטוּ אֵלַי) אֵלַי), Whom they have pierced (אֵת אֲשֶׁר־דָּקָרוּ)…” (Zecharia 12:1,10).

“Surely He has borne our griefs, and carried our pains: yet we did esteem Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But He was wounded because our transgressions, He was bruised because our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we were healed… By His knowledge shall My Righteous One, My Servant justify many; for He shall bear their iniquities” (Ieshaiahu 53:4,5,11).

Thus, the Justice of God (צִדְקַת אֱלֹהִים), HaBeracah promised to Abram and testified by the Torah, is granted:

•    Baemunah in the Eternal One: the Servant of the Eternal, Yeshua HaMashiach (יֵשׁוּעַ הַמָּשִׁיחַ),

•    To all and over all that believe in Him (אֶל־כֹּל וְעַל־כֹּל אֲשֶׁר הֶאֱמִינוּ בוֹ)

•    being freely justified – without merit (חִנָּם), by His grace (וְנִצְדְּקוּ חִנָּם בְּחַסְדוֹ)

•    through the redemption that is in Mashiach Yeshua (עַל־יְדֵי הַפְּדוּת אֲשֶׁר הָיְתָה בַּמָּשִׁיחַ יֵשׁוּעַ), Tzemach Tzadik, the Goel

•    to Whom God proposed as kapparah or atonement (לְכַפָּרָה אוֹתוֹ שָׂם הָאֱלֹהִים אֲשֶׁר)

•    kapparah baemunah bedamO / by faith in His blood (כַּפָּרָה עַל־יְסוֺד אֱמוּנָה בְּדָמוֹ),

“…because He has poured out His Soul unto death (אֲשֶׁר הֶעֱרָה לַמָּוֶת נַפְשׁוֹ)… an offering for guilt         (אִם־תָּשִׂים אָשָׁם נַפְשׁוֹ)… He was numbered with the transgressors; yet He bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors” (Ieshaiahu 53:12,10,

By this work, performed by the Eternal God alone, He promises that: “whosoever shall call on the Name of JHVH shall be saved…”, because, “I, even I, am He Who blots out your transgressions for My own sake, and will not remember your sins” (Ioel 3:5(2:32); Ieshaiahu 43:25).

Now, where there is forgiveness (remission) of sins, there is no longer any offering for sin, neither a place to offer it, the Temple in Jerusalem, because, the Perfect and Eternal Offering has been finished! (!נִשְׁלַם)

HaBeracah is available to all who consider the Eternal One True and appropriate himself of This Blessing, baemunah, because it is HaMashiach, our Passover Lamb, Who was slain shelanu:
